I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Physics Department of
West Virginia University studying pulsars at the recently established
WVU Center for Astrophysics together with pulsar leaders,
Duncan Lorimer and Maura McLaughlin. Of my particular interests are the
amazing phenomenon of “giant pulses” in pulsar radio emission, that presently are known to be revealed only in 7 pulsars out of more than 1800 discovered so far.

I have been at WVU since September, 2006. Before that I was a researcher at
the Astro Space Center of the Lebedev Physical Institute in Moscow (2001-2006) with a break of 5 months in 2005 when I was a postdoc at York University in Toronto in Norbert Bartel ’s group. I defended my Ph.D. thesis in April 2004 at Lebedev Physical Institute. Earlier I was a student at Sternberg Astronomical Institute of Lomonosov Moscow State University (1993-1999) and a graduate student at the Astro Space Center (1999-2002).
