We offer the following courses at introductory, advanced undergraduate and graduate levels. With the exception of ASTR 106, which is offered each semester, all courses are offered on alternate years. Undergraduates can now attain an Astronomy minor (see below). Please contact us for further information about undergraduate and graduate study.

Introductory level undergraduate courses:
ASTR106 Descriptive Astronomy
ASTR498 Honors Astronomy
ASTR499 Honors Relativity

Upper level undergraduate courses:
ASTR367 Astrophysics I
ASTR368 Astrophysics II
ASTR470 General Relativity
ASTR471 Observational Astrophysics

Graduate level courses:
ASTR700 Radio Astronomy
ASTR701 Computational Astrophysics
ASTR702 Stellar Structure and Evolution
ASTR703 Galactic Astronomy
ASTR704 General Relativity (cross-listed with ASTR 470)

The Astronomy minor is designed to provide a broad overview of the field of Astronomy. The Astronomy minor consists of 21 credit hours of course work. Required core courses: PHYS 111; PHYS 112; PHYS 314 (12 hrs). Minors also complete 9 credit hours from any ASTR courses numbered 300 and above. Physics majors may complete an astronomy minor, provided the ASTR courses counted toward the minor are not counted as electives toward the physics major. A minimum grade of C or better is required in each course counted toward the minor. Minor Code: U087
